Public Advisory On Scam Calls From ICA
ICA is aware that members of the public have received calls from the number “+65 6812 5555” that is similar to our SafeTravel Enquiries Helpline. The callers claimed to be officers from government agencies. They accused the recipients of either spreading fake news related to COVID-19 or breaking COVID-19 rules, further saying that a report would be made against them or they had to pay a penalty.
ICA would like to clarify that such calls were not made by officers from ICA or any other government agencies. ICA does not call members of the public to request money in any form over the phone. Members of the public are advised to take precautions when they receive such calls. For details, visit this page.
Entry Approvals and Availability of Entry Dates
New entry approvals have been reduced until further notice for short term visitors and long term pass holders with travel history to higher-risk countries/regions. If you are unable to select an entry date in the SafeTravel application portal, please defer your travel plans until the situation has stabilised.
Work Pass in-principle approval (IPA) holders who are unable to enter Singapore will have their IPA validities extended. The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) will share more details on this later on. In the meantime, for IPAs that are expiring soon, you can request for an extension.
As our Contact Centre is experiencing a high volume of enquiries, please browse through the information on the SafeTravel website first to find out what requirements apply to you when entering or departing Singapore.
